When playing fetch with my dog on this particular morning, I looked down and saw dozens of perfect little acorns that the neighborhood squirrels are busy harvesting and burying in their caches. I had an idea to take a close-up shot with an acorn sitting atop a mirror, and I was doing that, I decided to add an oak leaf from same tree, underneath.
When I first started shooting, a little sweat bee landed on the acorn for a snack (?), which is available in another image on my gallery (search "acorn").
