Description
"100% Chance of Snow at 10AM" - Stoughton Opera House clock tower
Here's a snowy view of the iconic clock tower of the Stoughton (WI) Opera House viewed from the east at 10:07AM, per clock on tower! This building was built in 1901, fell in to disrepair and ruin in ~1950, and was repaired and rebuilt in the 1980's. In its early days, the theater's repertoire primarily featured plays, vaudeville reviews by traveling companies, and concerts. Since reopening, events include (primarily) music concerts by well-known national and local touring musicians and bands. I attended a Herb Alpert concert here about 5 years ago which was pretty cool - as a trumpet player myself, Herb is a bit of an idol, and even at age ~82, he still had GREAT chops!! I just googled and he is STILL touring now at age 87. Wow!
I have many images of this iconic building in my gallery - just search "clock" on my gallery to see them all!
