Yahara River Sunrise where it flows out of Lake Kegonsa
Photograph - Photograph
Based upon favorable prospect for a colorful sunrise, I got up and out early yesterday morning and drove to a nearby scenic location where the Yahara River leaves Lake Kegonsa. I got there well before sunrise, since colors are always best about 15 minute before rise. This shot was taken with ultrawide lens/perspective to catch that dead tree in foreground - zoom in and you'll see the crescent moon with venus just below it, just right of center. Shortly after I finished shooting, an endless river of blackbirds flew overhead towards the sunrise - must have been millions. And shortly after that, the shotguns started blasting (duck/geese hunting season). Those ducks seemed to understand, and stayed put in their little paradise!
