I've shot this grain elevator (the CenDak cooperative just east of Leeds ND) many times over the years as a sunset foreground, but this one taken last week just as the sun settled into the earth is my favorite thus far. I was 2.25 miles away, shooting with a telephoto lens (300mm focal length). I've hauled countless truckloads of wheat, corn, and soybeans to this facility, over the years. It is a very modern/high-capacity facility - I can dump an entire semi in just a few minutes. They even have a long "racetrack-shaped" private rail track to handle "unit trains" which have ~100 cars. the large building on right side is the newish fertilizer plant.
