East Norway Lutheran Church series (Nelson County ND)
Through satellite imagery and internet searching, I have created a large database of "potentially interesting" locations on my google map so that when I make a trip, I can schedule stops along the way without adding hundreds of miles. This is an example from a recent WI->ND journey- an abandoned Norwegian Lutheran church founded in 1903 and closed in 1967. Amazingly the bell is still in place - I was shocked when I pulled the rope and the deep but crystalline tone roared out once again after a long slumber.
