"Gorgeous Pembina Gorge"
Surely this view, tucked away in the NE corner of the state of North Dakota, has to be on a top-10 list for all of North Dakota. It is an overlook of the Pembina River gorge (at Tetrault State Forest Lookout Point) and it is a must-see (and not well marked with signs). There’s even a beautiful new picnic shelter here, which is surprising, because the road leading in is sketchy!
This is a "looking east" view, shot on Oct 12, 2020. Most of the leaves had already fallen, but the brilliant yellows of aspen and birch were still on display.
