"Isolation"
This perfect stack of hay bales standing proud and alone in the endless big-sky ND landscape caught my eye as I passed by on my drive from WI to ND. To me, this image is a metaphor for the loneliness and isolation faced by some in these very remote and lightly-populated areas (this particular location was near Aneta, ND). I have an alternate wider-cropped version which is slightly more "in color" than this one- search for same title.
