James River Lutheran Church Series
This beautiful old/abandoned church sits proudly atop a hill east of Carrington, ND. The church is clearly being maintained/painted, and will last a good long time with its new metal roof, but unfortunately, the cross on top of steeple has broken/blown down, and gives the appearance of a "church in distress". I hope it can be repaired. The light was very hard/harsh on the day I traveled to it, but the sky had some good clouds/drama, so I did B&W conversions and gave them a slight sepia tone, which seemed suited for the mood.
