Moonrise over Maynard’s”
I took the opportunity of last night’s full moonrise to capture an image with it above the abandoned Stensby farmstead in foreground- a very familiar scene to all of you who follow my work! The sun was just setting behind me when I shot this, so foreground is lit by golden light. The very next night, I shot the moonrise at Big Coulee church (you'll find it on my site) . Zoom in above the house to see the pelican trio that cruised through like beautiful white glider-bombers at a timely moment. They feed on fish swimming up the local coulees leading in to Devils Lake- large flocks.
