Description
"Psalm 19:1 on Display at the Big Coulee Church - Comet 2023A3 and Milky Way"
If I ever do a book, I'll have a whole chapter of images from this stately old abandoned Lutheran church in Ramsey County ND- in fact I caught another comet, NEOWISE, here several years that you can also find by searching "Big Coulee" on my site. This one was taken last night (10/21/24) at about 9PM, and the comet is fading fast, but is still a naked-eye object from dark skies like this, and is quite large (bear in mind that this image was shot with an ULTRAWIDE angle lens (15mm) with about 120degree field of view and the comet is still clearly elongated. I’d estimate it’s at least 5 to 10° long which is like 10-20 full moon diameters. It only visits us about once every 80,000 years.
Image captured 20/21/24
AI interprets image as: A rustic church stands silhouetted against a breathtaking night sky filled with countless stars and a visible Milky Way. The scene captures a serene moment of natural beauty and architectural charm.
