"School Picnic Dreams" - Hand-tinted B&W infrared film image
This beautiful picnic area, sheltered under the massive overswept arms of a mighty oak tree, is found at the park grounds in front of the historic one-room schoolhouse in Cooksville, WI. I captured this scene just before sunset, and long shadows from trees behind me were being cast onto the grass in an interesting way, while the oaks, picnic tables (you may need to zoom in), and schoolhouse were still directly lit by the sun. I used infrared film in my camera to further amplify the dream-vibe of this scene, and to finish it off, I hand-tinted selected areas to give an old-time feel.
Image captured 9/22/21 with Bronica ETRS using Rollei IR400 film and 40mm lens with Hoya R72 filter.
