Description
I found this "new" (to me) abandoned farmstead - once the Bye farm home and later the Myhre farm - during a visit to my home in May 2019. It is a spectacular beauty of a home - very large and with many architectural features. Unfortunately, vandals have smashed all the windows and done great damage which will dramatically accelerate its decay rate. It was abandoned, I presume, due to the rising flood waters of Devils Lake, which made access difficult (or impossible) for about a decade, until just recently.
