My front yard has a gnarly, somewhat contorted, hackberry tree that makes an interesting subject when I want "something quick" for a foreground. Last night's full moon, known as the "Wolf Moon" (in January), was such a time. I thought about composing the image without the cardinal (a metal cutout decoration), but decided it added an interesting foreground element, apparently watching the tree capture the wolf, so left it in.
