UW Madison Union Mandala
The base image used here (with multiple rotate/mirror operations) is the iconic Student Memorial Union on UW Madison campus taken 3/4/18. It was shot at the entrance to the Student Union Terrace, from a somewhat odd perspective, looking up the baluster railings at front steps. I liked all the symmetry in this, plus the ornate painted ceiling, so I decided to go "super symmetry" through mirror/rotate operations (kaleidoscope-like) creating this Mandala, and the "hole in the middle" seemed begging for a moon shot that I took through my telescope.
