Description
"Wisconsin Snowblurred" Intentional camera motion at a snowy tree grove
I was passing a grove of trees that were plastered with snow on the windward side, creating strong white vertical lines, so I stopped my lens down all the way and used a slowish shutter speed (1/10'th second), and rapidly swiveled the camera vertically during the exposure to amplify the vertical motion feeling and create this soft abstract which evokes "dancing trees" to my eye. It took about 10 experiment to get a shot I liked. This sort of thing sure is a lot easier now, vs. back in film days when you had to wait a week to finish roll, get it developed...
Image captured 12/9/22 with Pentax K-1 and Rokinon 135mm lens.
