This corn harvest scene was captured in the beautiful "Drifltless" (not hit by last glacier) area in SW Wisconsin - somewhere near Highland, as I recall. I was motorcyling and headed for home after a lengthy "photography ride", and as often happens, the best shot of the day turned out to be the one taken after I thought I was "finished"... Peter Herman was born and raised on a farm in North Dakota, where his love for photography first took root during high school. After acquiring a Pentax SLR, he began capturing moments for the school yearbook and developing black-and-white images in the school darkroom.
