Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Augustana Swedish Lutheran Church Series - North Dakota abandoned rural church
One of my stops on a quick photo-shooting circuit in east-central ND in September 2020 was this very beautiful and unique rural church in Eddy County about 7 miles SW of Sheyenne, ND. The church is of heavy stone/masonry construction vs. typical wood frame usually found on the ND prairie. The Swedish immigrants and settlers that built this (likely in early 1900's) must have been very dedicated to their faith and rightfully proud of their house of worship. It was probably decommissioned in the mid 80's (my estimate) due mainly to declining rural population, and it appears there have been some effort(s) to renovate/maintain it (a sign in the basement photo suggests so). If the roof is kept sound, it will last for centuries, being of such solid stone construction - like the old churches of Europe, but the interior shot reveals some pending troubles. Peter Herman

Peter Herman was born and raised on a farm in North Dakota. He first became interested in photography during high-school, and after acquiring a Pentax SLR, began taking photos for the school yearbook and developing/printing B&W images in school darkroom. He continued shooting through college, taking portraits, group pictures, weddings, but after beginning his engineering career at Cummins, he let his photography interests go dormant until about 2005 when he acquired his first DSLR and started shooting scenic landscapes from around the US, but concentrating especially on rural areas in ND and WI. Many of his images were encountered while riding motorcycle down random backroads during "golden hour", searching for that magic light...
