Description
On a roadtrip across ND on July 4, I stopped at many sites I had marked on my map - ghost towns, schoolhouses, etc. This Lutheran church was in the near-ghost-town of Kief (population of ~14). The town was founded by Ukranian protestants fleeing persecution from the Russian empire (dominated by Russian Orthodox) in around 1900. In post-processing of the RAW file, I did an infra-red type pseudo-conversion, so all the foliage is glowing somewhat pinkish, and I thought it gave a somehow dreamy, ghostly vibe. Believe it or not, there was a complete altar plus pastor podium still in the church, in remarkably good condition compared to the exterior appearance of church, which was likely abandoned in mid 60's.
