Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

"Photon Entanglement"
This is a very unique oak tree out at Lake Kegonsa State park which has two very large limbs that are "tangled" with each other. The intersection of the tangle creates a sort of triangle-shaped "peep-hole", so I positioned myself so that the sun would stream through the hole and give the sun-star effect you see below, when using a small camera aperture. I'll post a different image (as first comment to this post) which gives a clearer picture of the "tangle". FYI - The title is a reference to a very weird but well-known phenomenon in physics whereby two quantum particles (like photons - i.e light) can become inextricably linked, and, irrespective of distance between them, if something happens to one particle, the other particle responds instantaneously. Kind of romantic, in a way! Albert Einstein called it "spooky action at a distance". Anyway, I thought it was a good title, since photons are definitely streaming through this oak "entanglement"!

Peter Herman was born and raised on a farm in North Dakota. He first became interested in photography during high-school, and after acquiring a Pentax SLR, began taking photos for the school yearbook and developing/printing B&W images in school darkroom. He continued shooting through college, taking portraits, group pictures, weddings, but after beginning his engineering career at Cummins, he let his photography interests go dormant until about 2005 when he acquired his first DSLR and started shooting scenic landscapes from around the US, but concentrating especially on rural areas in ND and WI. Many of his images were encountered while riding motorcycle down random backroads during "golden hour", searching for that magic light...
