The famous Stoughton Tornado Oak Tree with Sun Halo
Photograph - Photograph
This is the "famous" Stoughton "Tornado Tree" - survivor of the major tornado in 2005 that tore through the northern side of town. It practically shredded this tree, ripping all its major limbs off, but now, 15 years later, it is surviving and sending out thousands of new branches from its very stout trunk! This image was shot at daytime. Another very similar version is available shot at night with full MOON (and similar moon halo) - search "Tornado" to see them all.
